Frontend Technologies: VueJS and ReactJS

VueJS vs ReactJS

A quick note on the libraries:

  • ReactJS
This library (not a framework [1]) is used in building application platforms. It uses HTML inside JavaScript known as JSX. It is supported by Facebook which makes it quite stable. Getting started with ReactJS is as easy as building the application used as an example in the documentation or finding good content on YouTube.

  • VueJS
This is a framework (not a library) with the basic idea of building user interfaces by leveraging standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and providing a declarative, component-based programming model that helps to develop user interfaces of

Some of the differences between the libraries are:

  • ReactJS is owned by Facebook while VueJS was created by an individual: Evan You.

  • VueJS is so beneficial for new programmers because it does not require a lot of deep learning while ReactJS requires the overhead of knowing some "pre-technologies".

What makes these tools tick:

  • ReactJS features such as JSX allow HTML to be added to React. VueJS maintains a consistent syntax throughout its UI functionality and ReactJS possesses a feature called JSX which is used to add JSX to HTML.

  • ReactJS offers strong support for search engine optimization (SEO), ensuring that web applications built with React.js are easily discoverable and indexable by search engines. VueJS, on the other hand, excels in component creation and updates, thanks to its streamlined approach to optimization.
